Nature & scope:
Camp Tamakwa is a children’s overnight summer camp in Algonquin Park, located 2.5 hours north of Toronto. Founded in 1936, Tamakwa is home to over 250 boys and girls aged 7-16. Our intimate camp size allows for a small camper-to-staff ratio where campers feel supported in every aspect of daily camp life. Tamakwa prides itself on traditional values, camp spirit, safety and skill development. Tamakwa’s rich traditions, family atmosphere, and unique site distinguishes itself, along with numerous watersports, land sports, creative arts, outdoor skills activities, and a premier canoe tripping program. Tamakwa is hiring Swim Instructors for summer 2023! Our swim instructors will set up, supervise and evaluate all aspects of the swimming area, its program and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with swim programming monitor safety of the waterfront ensure a positive, fun environment for children
Required qualifications:
- Current National Lifeguard certification
- Current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification
