JOB DESCRIPTION:

Camp Lionheart is an overnight camp in Muskoka, Canada that supports children with disabilities and complex medical needs. Program Specialty Staff bring energy, creativity, and expertise to our overnight camp programming. This role is perfect for individuals who love leading activities and sharing their talents with campers in a dynamic camp setting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitoring instructional and recreational swimming activities
including: patrolling the waterfront area and scanning the water
as well as monitoring patrons and volunteers to ensure a safe swim environment Carrying an aid at all times
performing emergency rescues to the standard of your certifications
responding to patron inquiries
resolving problems
and performing associated public education duties Attendance at all scheduled staff training Lead special activities and programs Adapt activities to support a range of abilities Create a safe fun and inclusive environment Collaborate with counsellors and leadership staff

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have NL Certification and SFA with CPR-C for Lifeguarding roles
Bronze Cross will be considered for Assistant Lifeguards and Boating Specialists
Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
