Refund & Rescheduling Policies

All refund and rescheduling requests must be submitted via email to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com

 


Course Credits:
Students who are no longer able to attend their scheduled course have the option of receiving a credit for the total amount of their registration. Credits will never expire and are transferrable between different courses and students. All credit requests must be submitted at least 5 days before the course via email to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com.


Refunds:
All cancellation requests must be submitted at least 7 days before your course and are subjected to a $35 administration fee. Note that you can choose to receive a credit free of charge. Send your refund request to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com no later than 7 days before your course.


Rescheduling:
All courses can be rescheduled up to 5 days before your course free of charge. After that, rescheduling requests can be accepted up to 3 days before the start of your class but are subjected to a $25 administration fee. Rescheduling with less than 3 days before your course is only allowed for medical reasons and must be accompanied by a medical note. Send your rescheduling request to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com.
 



Subsequent Rescheduling: Candidates registered in our courses and meet the rescheduling criteria are allowed to reschedule their course once without penalty. Subsequent rescheduling requests will be charged an administrative fee of $25 each time. Candidates will be granted up to 3 rescheduling requests.


Invalid Absences: Students will not be eligible for course credits or refund for the following but not limited to reasons; not meeting course prerequisites, missing course sessions, late arrivals, missing course materials and any type of misconduct deemed by our code of conduct.
 

Valid Absences: Candidates not present for a scheduled course must submit valid documentation to reschedule their session. This documentation must be submitted within three business days of the missed course/exam date. Rescheduling requests will be subjected to a $25 administrative fee.


No Shows: Candidates who do not show up for their scheduled courses with no prior notice nor documentation will not be eligible to reschedule or receive credits. Students will be required to re-register to attend any program.


Prerequisites: Candidates are responsible for ensuring that they hold the correct prerequisites to attend their course. Participants who do not hold the appropriate prerequisites will not be eligible for refunds and are subjected to a rescheduling fee of $25. 
 

Webinars
Webinar access is final sale and non-refundable.
 

Course Material
Book rental & course materials are non-refundable once issued to the student.
 

Rented Course Material
Any rented course material is to be returned to the instructor on or before the end of your course.
Students are responsible for returning the course material in the same condition they received it. Students who lose or significantly damage the course manuals will be charged the full fee of the manuals plus HST.
