Refund & Rescheduling Policies

Lifeguarding Academy's refund & rescheduling policies exist to protect both the students and instructors. See below for details.

 

Bronze, NL, & First Aid Courses

Refund:
Refund requests must be submitted via email to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com up to 72 hours prior to the start date of their course (12am). This eligibility time frame will be valid from the date and time of the email received. Refund requests (minus a transaction fee of $2.50) will be issued to the original method of payment.

Rescheduling:
Rescheduling requests must be submitted via email to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com up to 48 hours prior to the start date of the course (12am). Please note that late rescheduling requests will be subjected to an administration fee. Rescheduled courses will no longer be refundable.


Instructor & Advanced Courses

Refund:
Refund requests must be submitted via email to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com up to 7 business days prior to the start date of their course (12am). This eligibility time frame will be valid from the date and time of the email received. Refund requests (minus a transaction fee of $5) will be issued to the original method of payment.

Rescheduling:
Rescheduling requests must be submitted via email to admin@lifeguardingacademy.com up to 5 business days prior to the start date of the course (12am). Please note that late rescheduling requests will be subjected to an administration fee. Rescheduled courses will no longer be refundable.


Additional Information

Late Rescheduling: Late rescheduling requests will be subjected to a $50 administration fee. Rescheduled courses will no longer be refundable.

Subsequent Rescheduling: Candidates who are registered in our courses and meet the rescheduling eligibility are each granted to reschedule their course once free of charge. Subsequent rescheduling requests will be charged an administrative fee of $25 each time. Candidates will be granted up to 3 rescheduling requests.

Valid Absences: Candidates who are not present for a scheduled course or exam must submit valid documentation in order to reschedule their course. This documentation should be received within three business days of the missed course/exam date and rescheduling requests will be subjected to a $25 administrative fee. Refund options are no longer available. 

No Shows: Candidates who do not show up for their scheduled courses with no prior notice nor documentation will not be eligible for refunds nor rescheduling requests. Students will be required to re-register online should they wish to complete their course.

Prerequisites: Candidates are responsible to ensure that they are registering for the correct course and hold the correct prerequisites in order to attend their course. Participants who register for the incorrect course or do not hold the corresponding prerequisites will not eligible for refunds and are subjected to a late rescheduling fee. Please contact us with any questions you have regarding your course by using one of the many available options that are offered on our website. 


Webinars

Webinar access is final sale and non-refundable.


Course Material

Book rental & course materials are non refundable once issued to the student. 


Rented Course Material

Any rented course material is to be returned to the instructor of the course on or prior to the end of your course.
Students are responsible to return the course material in the same condition that they received it. Students who damage the course manuals will automatically be charged the full fee of the manuals plus HST.
