Job Purpose:
The Aquatics Area Supervisor is responsible for all operational aspects of one of four area groups within the Aquatics department.
Required qualifications:
- Valid NLS certificate
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate
- Valid CPR Basic Rescuer Level C (or equivalent) certificate
- Certifications in AED, supplemental O2 delivery, or airway management are an asset
Responsibilities of the applicant:
- Develop schedules, daily and weekly
- Direct and assign staff as required
- Prepare and deliver in park training programs, including attraction certifications, in-service training modules
- Monitor supply inventories and alert their Manager of any potential replenishment needs
- Conduct daily shift briefings and inform staff of any important operational information
- Attend to guest issues and resolve within their authority
- Ensure all records and reports are complete and filed
- Attend to first aid and emergency situations and act as the on-scene manager until advanced resources arrive
- Attend to ride downtime situations and manage from an operational/ customer service standpoint
- Monitor team member grooming and uniform
- Ensure is in compliance with the park standard
- Check all stand equipment before you leave at night to make sure everything is turned off
- Maintain budget boundaries for staffing allocations
- Ensure staff takes required breaks and shift changes are executed
- Comply with Ontario labor laws and keep within City of Brampton Health Department Codes
- Help maintain high levels of customer service within their unit
- Work on continuously training and coaching all team members
- Work collaboratively with other Aquatics Supervisors and act as a department duty manager when required
- Must be available to work all shifts whether they are morning, afternoon, or evening hours
- Must be available to work Monday through Sunday
- Responsible for maintaining all park standards and enforcing all park policies and procedures
- Responsible for monitoring equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance by reporting issues to the appropriate authority
- Responsible for making sure all team members comply with the company values and are completing our mission
- Responsible for maintaining clean work areas at all times
- Comply with all required COVID-19 health and safety protocols as per company policy, and determined by public health guidelines
